We are very proud of Helena Miller and Dara Raspberry who got married a few years ago and are now suing the government to recognize Dara as the other mother of Dara’s daughter.
We only wish we had the honor of creating their Ketubah!
You can read more about them here: Jewish Teacher Strikes New Blow in Gay Marriage Fight — Eyes Supreme Court.
We hope it makes it to the Supreme Court — we’re fully behind you!

There was a great article in the NY Times about Rabbi Wolpe in Los Angeles:
So it was that three weeks before the Supreme Court cleared the way for same-sex marriage in California, the rabbi, David Wolpe, announced in a letter to the synagogue that gay marriages would be performed in this 107-year-old congregation, as soon as the court ruling he anticipated was handed down.
One by one, we’re getting every shul to accept Jewish gay weddings. Yay!

Here is a touching story in the Forward (which is more modern by the day, yay!) by Isaac Lobel — whose a comedian now at the New School! — about an Orthodox family that comes to accept their still-Orthodox Gay son. Respect!!!

Fantastic news out of Sweden: the first Gay Jewish couple there got married! Woo-hoo! Celebrate good times, c’mon!
We’re excited to see Gay weddings grow in acceptance, one shul at a time. And Sweden, of all places!
Sweden’s Jewish history is actually a bit fascinating. Did you know that most of the major newspapers in Sweden were founded by Jews? And Jews are disproportionately their editors today?
So Sweden, as a very progressive Nordic culture, combined with a non-trivial Jewish presence — it makes sense that same-sex Jewish weddings are starting to grow there!
If you want to read more about the gay Jewish weddings in Sweden, then read about in this article on the Jerusalem Post!
What disappointed me about this article is, they didn’t reveal the names of the grooms (or perhaps brides?). I would think that we would be proud of it and would want to use our names. This isn’t the time for us to be in the closet.
By the way, this makes me think: maybe we should start doing gay Jewish wedding announcements? :)

The tradition may be old, but the art doesn’t have to be! After all we are living in the modern day of being able to do virtually anything via touch screen iphones! Your Ketubah is meant to be a meaningful work of art that blends both your beliefs and your personal style — wether it’s a love for sleek, modern minimalism, classic vintage, or a little of both! This work of art should be something you both collaborate on together.
At the risk of being too cliché, I absolutely love tons of color and pretty much anything paisley! Of course, The Paisley Road Ketubah caught my eye immediately, but so did all the Ketubot in the Rainbow Gallery. Definitely worth taking a peek at — especially for those looking for something breath-taking and unique!

We’ve worked with many gay and lesbian couples, and — surprise, surprise! — everyone’s taste is all over the place. To update an old joke: two gays, three opinions; Two Jews, three opinions; Two Gay-Jews, and NINE opinions!
Our persona favorites, however, are the ones with a same-sex couple, such as this one below. These are unique and powerful and wonderful and really show off the couple, as a couple.
See our gallery of Gay Couple Ketubahs (groom-groom) or Lesbian Couple Ketubahs (bride-bride).
Any questions? Just ask!

Following shortly after Minnesota, France’s President, François Hollande passed their “marriage for all” act. Officially the 14th country in the world to legalize and recognize same-sex marriage and we of course, couldn’t be more STOKED! Let’s hope this will pave the road for more countries to move forward progressively and as always realize that love is love, no matter what form it takes. For those French Gay couples looking for a Ketubah, we have TONS of interfaith, cross-cultural and multi-language text options!!
Take a look at the official story here. GO FRANCE! C’est Magnifique!

Exciting news: as I’m sure you all know, Minnesota just legalized same-sex marriage! Woo-hoo!
Finally, state by state, it is happening, and we are getting the right to marry everywhere.
